Bubbl.us map

I have taken Raj's advice on board, and developed a mind map on bubbl.us. I will update it further as and when I think of more content to add to it. Not entirely sure if this is correct, but here's the map as it stands. I will edit this post when I make any changes.

  1. I think this is a very good start, but you're only scratching the surface, look into the things that you think the future is going into, ruling out the ones you dont think its going too.
    So if you think space travel is a big one, look into that, and if as you said mechs aren't going to be plausable, look into it and say why you dont think it is. Yes it is a large subjuect to look into, but if you filter it down to what you think the future is going to be, instead of what culture, games and other people say its going to be.

    Therefore is your interpretation/impression of the future

  2. Craig has a good point here. you could really go down two main paths (there are more if you want to broaden the approach);

    1) Science Fiction / Science Fact: the gap between our ideas and our reality and where the two sometimes (or could potentially) meet. how our perception of the future can be coloured/clouded/influenced by our media representation and predictions of the future.

    2) My view of one possible future (using the line from T3!). be your own Omni / Tomorrows world etc where you sift through what's out there and present your own brave new world (a book by aldus huxley)

    Interaction seems to be a key theme here as well as representation. But its interesting to ask why? and why not? Why have we not yet colonised Mars? Or to turn it on its head, why not colonise Mars? what else have you got planned for today? :)
